German grown smoked malt with a pronounced smoke aroma, malty-sweet, with vanilla and honey notes. This malt is smoked over open Beechwood fires to produce a pale smoked malt.

Flavour can be intense. It can be used for up to 100% of the grain bill but typically used in smaller proportions to enhance malt extract or mash beers with smokey characteristics.
